Loveland, CO’s Top-Rated Podiatrist
Born and raised in Appleton, Wisconsin, Dr. Peter Schultz has been providing podiatric care to the Northern Colorado region since 1985. He favors a conservative approach to treating most foot and ankle conditions, recommending surgery only when it’s necessary or when the patient prefers that course of treatment.
Dr. Schultz graduated from Illinois State University with a Bachelor of Science and then entered a master’s program in biology, originally intending to go on to become a dentist or optometrist. During the first year of his master’s program, upon receiving a recommendation from one of his professors, he was accepted into the Illinois College of Podiatric Medicine, which he graduated from in 1983. He then went on to post-graduate training with an emphasis on biomechanics and surgery, and he has been passionate about podiatry ever since.
Dr. Schultz served in the US Army for three years and was stationed at Fort MacArthur in San Pedro, California, where he served in the medical corps. In 1985, Dr. Schultz co-founded the Loveland Foot and Ankle Clinic with Dr. Michael J. Burns, where he still provides foot and ankle care. He also co-founded the Foot and Ankle Wound Care Center at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley.
When he isn’t practicing podiatry in Loveland, Dr. Schultz enjoys traveling, reading, watching a movie from his collection of over 800, golfing, going out to restaurants, and exploring nature with his wife of 23 years, Lisa.
